Could it be true?

I have been told by someone who should know that Monroe city manager George Brown finally has taken up residency in the city, as his contract requires -- HOWEVER -- he's only renting some place and only uses it part of the time.
Is this true? Does this mean he doesn't think he's going to have his job so long?
He can't find a suitable house because there aren't enough up for sale?
Hmm...

Probably means he is smart. He has complied with the contract and has a "residency" here however with the current economy (can he sell his home in Adrian? Or should he purchase in this environment?) along with the impending elections should he make ties to Monroe given our political volatility? I wouldn't.

For the record, I don't care if you are with the MEN or are the reporter that moved on. I just wonder if you frequent Beeks?

Anonymous claimed: Everyone quesses (sic) who you are observer; my quess (sic) is that you are either a current or reciently (sic) removed employee of the Monroe Evening News. I am I close?

First analysis is that our anonymous friend is the copy editor for the local newspaper based on three misspelled words in the same sentence.

My answer is perhaps because The Monroe Evening News is ran by semi-literate sports writers and has mostly fortune tellers on staff. Yes, the “Observer” is in the employment of the Monroe Evening News and runs this blog to create competition for their write and bitch service. Likewise Compora is on the staff of the newspaper because by making industry disappear they think they gain an advantage in being able to hire below the minimum wage by the ESOP arrangement where the power behind the throne is in firm control and all employees are salaried and have exempt status.

Why would the guy think his job is safe? Floraday says he is no good. Compora said in her fireman interview that he is "the worst city manager she has ever seen" and since she has seen Debbie Manns, she has seen pretty bad. Finally, Iacoangeli must feel the same way, since Rick and Linda think with his brain.
That is three votes if all get elected (which is highly improbable) but, hey, it could happen. Only need two more for a vote to fire. Could Hensley be one? Political signs point to yes.

That leaves three seats left. We all know that Brian won't go against George, and neither will McGhee, from what I've been told, but what about Molenda if he wins? I hear that there is some interwoven something between Iaco and Molenda's mother. Could be interesting.

Does he have to use it all of the time, or can he go home on weekends, for conjugal visits?

If not, does that mean other city employees cannot have cottages?

The McGhee tribe is hard to understand. During an unofficial bitch and gripe session live and direct on local TV Ms. McGhee said her father was run over by a mean old train. If my dad was so stupid as to crawl under a train of cars I would never admit it. Next she cites her dad as being alive. I expect Father’s Day in the 3rd precinct is a case of absolute mass confusion.

If there is something interwoven something between IACO and Molenda's mother we don’t want him. I was thinking the dummy was a changeling left by the fairies. Besides this just another case of another U of M graduate who can’t get a real job. A communications graduate whatever that is who has charge of U of M transportation is several steps below oversight of the urinal sanitizers.

Talk about a write and bitch service, you all need a life if you are worried about where the City Manager lives.

Who cares!!!!

Gee would a current staff writer -if it really is one- running this blog be a conflict of interest. How could he remain fair and balanced. Oh silly me; it is the MEN after all.

Guy dumps house in Adrian, loses $50,000.

Guy buys house here, gets fired due to vindictive Mayor and his bobbleheads (if elected) and loses another $50,000.

Gets paid $100,000 by the city.

Hmmmm!!! Do the math.

Just Another Observer/ Smith

Why don't you get a life and stop libeling people! Now it's Jeremy Molenda's mother and Iaco, interwoven? Don't you ever stop with your constant bashing people?

She is married to Dr. Ed Feldman. She happens to be a very nice woman.

Such a degenerate as you will certainly wind up in court again, this time for libel. I bet Dr. Feldman has enough $$ at his disposal to pound you into the ground with legal fees for libeling his wife! Can't say as I would blame him.

Observer-Observer very wise man like Confucius. Concerning last City Manager Confucius say she like Aviatrix who fly upside down. Aviatrix who fly upside down shall surely have crack up with Al. Too many e-mail to old boss in computer system—too much footsie rub under table with old boss. Too many kids by another man for city employees to baby-sit

Confucius say George do OK by just having go home on weekends, for conjugal visits as he get plenty of shaft from overpaid employees and their union.

Its pretty amazing that Compora publicly states that George Brown is the worst city manager ever. It is especially amazing when you consider that Iaco’s good friend Debbie Manns couldn’t answer simple questions in a council meeting without looking over at John to find out what her opinion was. It is also amazing that under Debbie the Refuse fund was going broke and the splash park went way over budget without any council oversight. What has George done that would make him worse than Debbie? I do not understand Linda’s logic.

It is even more of a concern because the individual who supplies her opinion is running for Mayor.

I agree that George is pretty well screwed out of vindictiveness if John “Bankrupt” Iacoangeli, Rick “Hoe Down” Floraday, Jean “World Traveler” Guyor or Jeremy “Can’t find a real job” Molenda, and Linda “IKO” Compora get elected. I guess I would also throw Hensley in with that group given where his sign showed up. They may not have a catchy name like “CCC”, but they are a stronger coalition than what we have now.

If I was George there is no way I would buy a house in Monroe given our politics.

Get out and vote today unless you want to be a citizen of the nicest, walkable, bankrupt city in Michigan.
