An election prediction
Just so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle and because some posters have requested it, I will make predictions for the Monroe School Board that's being held Tuesday.
No, Linda Compora is not on the ballot. (I find that just the mention of certain names increases comments and traffic and venom here);-)
There are five candidates and this isn't the slam-dunk prediction you would expect, but I'll try to call it anyway:
McNamee, Thurber, Brace, VanWasshenova and, to make it interesting, it'll be in that order.

Why would I vote in a school board election unless they want more money?
Now - if they televised the meetings on cable - then it might be interesting. Idiots would show up every week to grandstand even when they know nothing about the issues. You would know the canidates because they would have spoken at every school board meeting held for the last year.
I'm still wondering what happens to Iaco's splash park / pool after the school board closes Cantrik.
I don't suppose the Monroe Housing Commission could convert it to low income housing instead of wasting more money on Greenwycke. Iaco already built the showers out back at incredible expense to the tax payers!
Oh yes - I almost forgot! Linda Compora is a complete idiot! It wouldn't be a blog unless I said that!

Where was that whiny councilcunt Compora? She demands answers when she's acting as a politician on TV, but where was she?
She didn't show up at the ZBA meeting either to champion her campaign against Jobs in Monroe.
Neither did the other camera hounds.
There were several people there that genuinely care about Monroe, though.

Can anyone explain to me why it is okay for Linda Compora to turn in the entire council and mayor for open meeting act violations, spraying her car with skunk odor, stealing flowers, ethics violations, but she is afraid of a frail old man exercising his first amendment rights?

Several council persons did see Rick in the courtroom with Compora when she was trying to defend the stalking complaint she made against the crippled old man. Why would the old person Dave Smith have persons of good repute including good council members for his witnesses while Compora could only get Rick Floraday, Willie Hall and some hillbillies on Toll Street?
It was not Willie Hall at court, it was John Rose, and I believe that if you look up his address and the sex offender registry, you will see that his address is listed on that site as well, though not for him, but for his son?? Five years for criminal sexual conduct. Must have been bad, like a kid or something.
Let’s see… Compora had a sex offender and two hillbillies for witnesses. Neither hillbilly understood the ruling of the City Attorney that the old man had a right to bring his camera to the meeting and use it in a non-disruptive manner. Court time was wasted listening to the hillbillies telling about the camera and how they do not agree with the open meetings act or city ordnances on the use of cameras etc. in public meeting. This whole Compora complaint was hatched up by the enemies of sound government and the rule of law. The victory desired by the enemy is to not have frail old men who have a lifetime of experience in decent living hide and let the enemy use Compora as their cat’s paw.

I really don't believe that Rick Floraday is the author of this blog site. Some of the information posted here is way too advanced for this twit. Rick is from some town in North Carolina, and he certainly doesn't have any local knowledge beyond that which John Iacoangeli gives him. Basically the same goes for Compora. At the last Council meeting, she had her notes about the pension board which John gave her before the meeting. This woman wouldn't know what a pension board does, let alone know the procedures for having consultants come in. Christ, when Slat interviewed her she threw out a $500,000 charge to the consultants, when the actual consultants charge was only $130,000.
Let Floraday get in and Iacoangeli would have to set up an office inside of Fino's so he could tutor both Floraday and Compora before the meetings. Better yet, just vote for anyone running against either Floraday or Compora.
I really think the observer should come out of the closet (no not that closet, who cares who he blows) and show everyone who he is. The observer is so intelligent, by predicting elections and second guessing everyone on each decision they make, whether it be City or County, that they should run for Mayor or Council. Hell, I would vote for them, just to get a kick out of how they would deal with the whack-o's that come to the meetings (Jan Jay, The Lanhams, McElligott, Adam Yeager) not to mention how they would deal with a psycho nut job like Compora. Say something she doesn't like and she'll get a PPO against you, or break down crying like a little bitch, or threaten to sue the City. Now that's entertainment!
Compora is a hypocrite!
She complains about David Smith and all the evil things he does to her; yet she is full of hatred toward Mayor Cappuccilli and does not miss the opportunity to rant against him. She complained during the PPO hearing that Smith's behavor caused her mother added stress; yet she has no problem adding to the stress levels of Mayor Cappuccilli as he is undergoing prosate cancer treatment.
C'mon Slat: was it really necessary to get Compora's quote for your penson board story? In true Compora form, she had to take a dig at the mayor.
Take it easy on Linda. She may hate all men which is typical of women in the hospitality business. When she developed too many hollows in her chest and hanging flab, she could not make a living in Las Vegas. She could not go around completely dressed in the line of work for which she is best fitted. She was just making the best of a bad situation screwing mom out of room and board and IKO out of money.
Perhaps her past life explains why she crapped when Dave Smith came in with a camera. She may have had a flashback to when she was 40 years younger making blue movies on 8 millimeter film. Let me see – could she be Linda Lovelace.

I agree with keeping Linda’s past life in the past. It can’t hurt us but what she is doing now is hurting the city and all citizens.

It is interesting to me that the Monroe Evening News gave much coverage to Linda accusing a fellow councilperson of ethics violations - but didn't cover her PPO against a frail old concerned citizen at all.

I bet the crippled man agreed to let Linda drop the stalking charges when she was finally able to hire some Arab Attorney from Temperance to advise her against proceeding and get out of the case any way she could. No Monroe attorney would take her case. The old man’s other choice would be to pursue the issue and hope to collect his attorney’s fees as damages.
Once she had an attorney pointed out that she had screwed up in spades because all of her testimony causing the Judge to issue the PPO was lies, she was smart to cave in or go without an attorney.
If the Monroe Evening News wishes advice on spending they go to Compora. If advice is needed on atomic power they go to some jerk name of Keegan (sp). The newspaper must write for its readership and that requires keeping writing at the fourth grade level.
Election prediction: Due to the antics of Al's lapdog, Dave psychopath Smith, the Coalition will go out with one sweep.
The psycho Smith is hurting his friend Al and his pals Beneteau, Martin and Paisley just like Lloyd Conner did in the beginning of their term.
How sad that the psychopath needs attention so much that he will do anything the 3C's tell him to do including harassment. If you think that people aren't aware of who's behind it, think again.
The peeps of Monroe have smarted up. They are no longer the Al lackeys that they were and they are no longer taken in by pre-election promises that were given by the 3C coalition but somehow never materialized. They are just plain disgusted by the whole mess. The pay back comes in November. The end of the Coalition.
