Can't wait to see Carleton's new ice arena
There's an item in tonight's Monroe Evening Snooze that says Carleton's leaf pickup program is continuing. It says the village will continue to pick up leaves raked to the curb until the last leaf is gone. It's been doing that for the last two or three years using village employees.
Where did they get that hare-brained idea?
What's next, a new village-owned money-losing ice arena?

I'm sure that Carleton probably had some farm boy come by and scoop up their leaves. Send him to us to help with our leaves.
Wow!! Did you check out the last City Council meeting? Looks like Compora couldn't get John Iacoangeli's point across well enough. He actually had to come down and restate all of the notes that he told her to read. She was obviously lost during her bashing of the City Legal staff's agreement with IKO. Sounds to me like Iacoangeli is trying to do what he did with his brother and the Fire Department's contract negotiations a couple of years ago. That is, holding everything up so he could jump in and take credit for everything when he did nothing. Guess if we got into a long legal battle with IKO, and for some ridiculous reason Iacoangeli got back in office, he could settle this then and take the credit. I for one am sure glad the rest of the council and the Mayor settled this now with IKO. They are now gone for good and can no longer pollute our air and water systems. Thanks to the six of you who did what was best for the City.
